The Directors of Caparo Testing Technologies are committed to achieving the highest standards of environmental awareness while fulfilling their Environmental Statutory duties.

To satisfy this commitment the Directors will ensure that all company activities are carried out within the provisions of:

• The Environmental Protection Act
• The Special Waste Regulations
• The Control of Pollution Act

All employees are to regard issues concerning the environment to be of prime importance and are to adopt the following codes of practice with regard to environmental issues:

• Spillage or disposal of waste chemicals (liquid or solid) into drains, waterways or on to bare ground is forbidden.
• Employees must not bring onto company premises (other than on company business) any waste matter generated to be disposed of via company skip.
• Burning of materials or chemicals on site is forbidden.

Company employees are expected to co-operate fully on matters concerning the environment and are to report any incidents or matters that may cause or lead to a breach of company environmental policy.

This policy is communicated, implemented and understood by company employees; and as part the organisations commitment to continual improvement, the environmental policy is subject to periodic review to confirm its continued suitability.
